Cabaser medication claim: Parkinson’s disease treatment

On 8 December 2014 the Sydney Morning Herald reported the settlement, subject to Federal Court court approval, of failure to warn of side effect claims by some 160 persons in Australia who used the medication Cabaser for treatment of Parkinsonian symptoms between 1996 and 2010.

Arnold Thomas & Becker partner Allanah Goodwin was quoted as saying that the medication led people to go on “gambling and shopping binges and engage in bizarre hypersexual behaviour, without realising it was a side effect” of the medicines.
