Ambulance treatment for asthma patient

Hayes v South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust [2015] EWHC 18 (QB) was a claim alleging various failures by an ambulance crew in respect of assessment and treatment of the patient (now deceased). Non adherence to guidelines was also alleged, in respect of drug administration: [10].

Breach of duty and causation were both in issue. The findings were in favour of the claimants, including a finding that the deceased had a 60% chance of survival: [142]
