Patients with Passports, by Glenn Cohen (Oxford University Press), is said to be the first comprehensive legal and ethical analysis of medical tourism.

The book includes chapters on issues such as legal liability, private health insurance, travel for services which are illegal in the patient’s home country. Topical areas include stem cell treatment, fertility treatments and assisted suicide.

The author is a Professor of Law at Harvard Law School.
