End of Life law in Australia is a new website developed by the Australian Centre for Health Law Research at  the Queensland University of Technology.

The website provides practical legal information for patients, families, health and legal practitioners, the media, policymakers and the broader community about Australian laws relating to death, dying and end-of-life decision-making.

It contains an overview of the law in these areas, by topic, in each Australian jurisdiction and Australia broadly. The website covers key end of life issues including advance directives, guardianship, withholding and withdrawing life-sustaining treatment, palliative care, organ donation and euthanasia, and links to external resources around Australia.

There is a link to Recent developments for developments in the field nationally and internationally – this will eventually be linked to a subscribe function.

The website welcomes contributions about developments in end of life. (Centre Coordinator Penny Neller: penny.neller@qut.edu.au ).
