Mental Capacity and Deprivation of Liberty

With thanks to Lise Barry of Macquarie University for noting that the Law Commission (UK) has published its report on mental capacity and deprivation of liberty. The full report of over 250 pages covers an enormous range of issues.

At the same time, the NSW Law Reform Commission is undertaking a review of the Guardianship Act 1987 (NSW). It recently released question papers on safeguards and procedures, medical and dental treatment and restrictive practices.
